Thailand is hot, so we suggest wearing something light and breezy. The attire for the wedding will be cockatil attire / semi-formal (the sweet spot between understated dressy and elevated casual) as we want to see you dressed in your best. The wedding is on the lawn so comfortable shoes are recommended, likeliness to become barefoot by the end of the night. Attire for Friday's welcome party is "island nice", so think summer dresses for the women or short sleeve button up shirt for the men with some shorts or pants.
This will be an all-day boating event and gift from us to you, starting at 10am to be picked up from the hotel and taken to the marina to disembark. The day consists of visiting Khai Island for snorkeling and water activities, going to a Secret Beach for lunch, beach activities, and boat toys, and finally Phae Island which is a deserted island for a final swim and to watch the sunset! We will get back to the marina at 6pm.
Our gift is your attendance as we know this is a big trip to go on and we just want those who can join us to be there. If you would still like to give us a gift, cash is accepted worldwide. :) We do not have a registry since we have been living together for 6 years and find we have all that we need.
We strongly suggest those who can to make a trip out of this and explore more of Southeast Asia whether before the wedding or after! Thailand has so much to offer if you plan to stay in the country, I highly suggest visiting Krabi, Phi Phi Islands, or Chang Mai. Surrounding countries are fairly cheap to travel to and would add to your trip. Some of these include Vietnam, Cambodia, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
We suggest booking our venue's hotel COMO Point Yamu in Phuket, Thailand. The suggestion is to book the whole weekend. We booked Thursday March 28th, 2024 - Monday April 1st, 2024. This is where all wedding events will take place and we would love it if everyone could stay here for the weekend's festivities. Our group booking code is no longer available but please follow the link to the website to book directly. https://www.comohotels.com/thailand/como-point-yamu If you have any issues when booking please email our team at the following addresses. res.pointyamu@comohotels.com juthamas.sananeur@comohotels.com
Thailand is truly a destination and so booking your travel well in advance is advised and we suggest flying into Phuket international airport and the venue is a 30 min cab ride to the hotel. Some larger rooms come with travel to and from the airport, please confirm when booking. Another option is to fly into Bangkok Airport and then fly to Phuket which may be a more cost-effective option, if choosing to drive it is about an 11 hour drive from Bangkok ariport to our hotel in Phuket.
We love family but want those with small children and babies to be able to enjoy themselves and will be asked to leave those little ones at home or with a sitter.
