A shuttle will be provided to bring guests from the hotel to Mount Ida Farm before the ceremony and back to the hotel at the end of the night.
The shuttles will pick guests up at 3:30 PM (Hampton Inn will be closer to 3:35PM). Please be prompt as there is only one time appointed for each hotel!
The ceremony space will be at Thomas Ridge. The ceremony will take place 5-8 minutes away from the reception venue at Mount Ida Barn. Shuttles will be provided to take guests to both locations. If you drive your car to Thomas Ridge, it must be driven to Mount Ida Barn after the ceremony. If needed cars can be left overnight at Mount Ida Barn and picked up the next day between 9am to Noon.
The ceremony will be outside weather permitting. If rain/ too cold, the ceremony will take place at Mount Ida Barn (reception venue). Following the ceremony, all festivities will take place at Mount Ida Barn. If weather looks uncertain and you are driving, please drive to Mount Ida Barn first to check in and they will direct you where to go.
If you miss the shuttle, You can drive directly to Thomas Ridge and then to the barn after. You may use the shuttle at the end of the night and then can pick up your car the next day between 9AM to Noon. There are some shared rides that will drive to Mount Ida but will not come back at the end of the night due to distance. In this scenario, the shuttle can be used to get back to the hotel at the end of the night.

The directions below are from Route 64 to Mount Ida Barn (cocktail/reception): - Take exit 121 Scottsville/ Charlottesville -Head toward Scottsville (left off exit) onto Route 20 South (travel approx. 16 miles) -Take a left onto James River Road (Route 726) -Arrive at a stop sign and take a left onto Blenheim RD (Travel approx. 2-3 miles) -The sign for Mount Ida Farm and Vineyard will be to your right - Cross through the iron gates and take an immediate left. Follow road to the Event Barn.

DIRECTIONS from 64: Take Exit 121 Scottsville/Charlottesville Head toward Scottsville (left off exit) onto Route 20 South (travel approx. 6-7 miles) Turn LEFT onto Carter Mountain Road Turn IMMEDIATE RIGHT onto Secretary Road(travel approx. 3 miles until you reach 4-way stop) At 4 way stop Turn RIGHT onto Blenheim Road (travel approx. 2 miles) look for Jordan Run Lane (this will be the first left you come to). Take a LEFT onto Jordan Run Lane At the end of Jordan Run Lane take a RIGHT onto Thomas Ridge and drive all the way to to the end into the cul de sac. You will see a Thomas Ridge sign, brick pillars and gates identifying the ceremony site. You may park in the Cul de Sac. There will be people at the different gates directing people if needed.
- At the ceremony all chairs will be spaced out to promote social distancing. The ceremony will be outside weather permitting. - The shuttles we have rented have plenty of space to spread out. Please keep your mask on in the buses! - Masks are required when not at the tables or eating/drinking. We would like for people to refrain from bringing their drinks on the dance floor to promote wearing your mask. - Please be respectful of people's space on the dance floor and do not crowd people. - The buffet will be served by staff and only staff will touch your plate until you receive it. -Plenty of hand sanitizer will be provided. - If you are experiencing any symptoms related to Covid 19, please do not attend the wedding.
The bridal party will be taking pictures for about an hour while the guests are shuttled to the cocktail/reception area.
Masks are required at the ceremony and reception! We kindly ask that masks are worn when people are not at their seats during the reception. We are asking our guests to wear cocktail attire. There is plenty of grass/gravel on the property so be sure to keep that in mind when wearing heels!
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults only event so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home to come celebrate with us.
