Daytime temperatures average ~60 degrees while evening temperatures are cooler. We recommend a wrap or shawl for the evening reception and we're crossing our fingers for a beautiful weekend!
No! Unless you want to explore the island on your own! There will be transportation from a central location in town to the ceremony/reception on Saturday and transportation back to town at the end of the night. Town is extremely walkable and Ubers are available for whenever you may need!
Yes! On Friday-- welcome drinks are in town, so there will be no transportation to or from this event as it is walkable from most hotels in town or easily Uber-able from other areas on the island. On Saturday- There will be shuttles from a central location in town within walking distance from most hotels. The shuttle will bring everyone to the Ceremony. 3PM SHUTTLE FROM THE WHALING MUSEUM IN TOWN TO THE CEREMONY! Shuttles will also be available for transporting everyone to the reception (3 minute drive) or guests will be able to walk if they choose (5-7 minute walk). Shuttles will bring guests back to town/the afterparty at the end of the reception. On Sunday- there will be no transportation to the open house, as guests can walk over or uber to the house at their leisure!
Yes! You can drive to the Martin home and park along Lincoln Circle-- about 1 street away from our house. You can also make the short drive from the ceremony to the reception and park along North Beach Street right near the Galley. We ask that if you are driving, please refrain from parking directly in front of or on the side of the Martin House on Capaum Rd or North Cliff Way as we will need space for the shuttles! Thank you in advance!
