A classic country bar, great to get the full southern experience. Includes pool tables, indoor cornhole, a dance floor, and a mechanical bull. Cash bar only, but there is an atm on site. Some of the best chicken on a stick you'll ever have at a food truck parked right outside.
A drive-through zoo featuring animals from around the world, including giraffes. You can either do a wagon ride or drive through with your own car. If possible, take the wagon ride - the food gets everywhere in your car. Bring water, hand sanitizer, and sunblock - the wagon route is not shaded. Takes about 1 -1 1/2 hours to complete.
Charlotte is home to the U.S. National Whitewater Center - if you've ever wanted to go whitewater rafting or kayaking, this is the place for you. The center also has a number of trails for hiking and biking.
