Our story starts where all great love stories start: dating apps! And it took not one right swipe, but two... When we first matched, we didn't quite strike up a conversation, but after recognizing each other a week or so later on a different app, it luckily stuck! We quickly learned our families lived just a mile from each other in Charlestown, RI, so our first date was naturally at Perks & Corks, a local espresso martini bar. The first date led to two more that same week, and we both knew this was turning into something special.

One Saturday in July, we took Jeff’s family's boat to where we had our third date, a sunset cruise on Ninigret Pond (Jeff says that it was on this date when he knew Alyssa was the one). Under the guise of going to dinner by boat, Jeff decided "maybe" the water was too rough (it wasn't) and he had a "bad feeling" about navigating at sunset (he didn't) and instead dropped the anchor, dropped to one knee, and popped the question! It was the best boat ride ever, and a celebratory golf cart ride and surprise beach celebration capped off the most perfect day.
