CDG is the largest airport in France with numerous routes from the USA arriving daily. From Paris, you can take a 2-hour train ride to Bordeaux. The chateau is about a one hour drive from there.

For those who don't want to deal with taking a train can consider flying into Bordeaux and renting a car to drive to Cognac (about one hour away).

SNCF Connect is a one-stop shop booking website for trains in France. There are trains every hour from Paris to Bordeaux. We recommend taking a train into Bordeaux St. Jean station; it's cost-effective and fun!

Hertz Car Rental
There are various rental car agencies available at the train station (Hertz, Europcar, Alamo, Sixt, etc.). We recommend Hertz; very friendly and they speak English (you will find that many people at the train station do!). Our only recommendation is to NOT book an electric vehicle.
