This story is about a man from a small town, who lost his hope for love, and the whimsical girl he met, who was trying to following her dreams. Kelly and Zach met while Kelly was finishing her last year of college at the University of Oregon, and Zach was climbing the ladder in his career. Zach's heart had previously been broken and while still picking up the pieces, met Kelly. She helped repair his heart and with his support, he helped her complete her Interior Architecture thesis and more. They both needed to learn how to be loved and how to accomplish their dreams, so they began their journey together.  In the past three years, the new couple wrote their "together-story” as they traveled cross-country, while visiting historic places, parks, kayaking beautiful streams and even visiting fanciful Disneyland. Now, Kelly and Zach are sharing their lives together in Charlotte, North Carolina, with two dogs and two cats and an abundance of happiness and love. They are also preparing for a marriage, wedding and reception and a move to Zach’s boyhood neighborhood, near Eugene, Oregon, into a home, which they will renovate, while furthering their careers.  With a lot to do in the next year…marriage, wedding, reception, travel, work, and move back to the west coast, they decided to break up those milestones into smaller pieces, so they could enjoy each step of the way. First, Kelly proposed to Zach on the 4th of July, hours before fireworks. With love and excitement at hand, a simple marriage ceremony soon followed. In their favorite month, October, 2024 they solidified their commitment near a favorite city, Charleston, South Carolina, with plans for a more elaborate exchange of vows and reception, in the following year. On a beautiful bright autumn day their simple ceremony was conducted by a justice of the peace and was witnessed by Zach’s Mom and Kelly’s parents. Kelly and Zach’s joy in committing to each other has become a special memory. Now they can enjoy planning for the next big events; An exchange of rings at their destination location of the Biltmore Estate on Valentines day 2025, and a more formal ceremony and reception at Kelly’s parents home in Jacksonville, FL, this October. The final milestone will be acknowledged by saying “au revoir" as they head back to Charlotte, NC to start their family landscape business, and buy their first home!
