Question

Parking at the beach is how much?

Answer

Parking used to be free, but this year the meters went to $5/an hour... more cars than parking spaces means they can charge what they want! If you’re staying on the island, we say bike or walk where you want to go. Parking at Wrightsville Beach Park is free for the first two hours, so you can park there and enjoy a 2.6 mile walk around the “loop”, which lets you experience all sides of the island. Parking after 7pm is free. Carpool, call Uber, or call us for recommendations based on what you want to do!

What about parking at the hotel/venue?

Answer

If you’re staying at the Blockade Runner you have complementary valet. Otherwise, you may use valet with a nominal fee for guests or park in metered spots on the streets adjacent to the hotel. Metered parking is free after 7 pm.

Any island Do’s and Don’ts?

Answer

There are no lifeguards on the beach after Labor Day. Checkered flags mark surf zones. No pets on the beach until October. No smoking on the beach. Put your adult bevs in a cup.. WB police can technically give tickets for open containers.
