Glass Beach

Glass Beach

Sandys Parish, Bermuda

A small, unique beach where the shore is almost entirely made up of sea glass! Why is there so much sea glass in this area? Before the days of glass recycling, many people dumped their unneeded glass into the sea. The former dumping point was likely in this area of the island, and it is now being tumbled and washed ashore. If you visit, please be mindful of the nature and the local community, and don't remove glass from the beach, or you could be fined.
