What happens if it is raining at the time of the ceremony?

Answer

If the weather is too bad to have the ceremony outside it will be conducted inside the Forest Township Hall (reception hall).

Why can't rooms at the UAW Center be reserved for Sunday night?

Answer

The UAW may have their members arriving Sunday evening for classes that start on Monday. If you are planning to stay Sunday night please make a reservation at the Towershores Motel or Lyons Motel.

Why can't I park my vehicle on the property?

Answer

Since the center is owned by the United Auto Workers (UAW) only vehicles made in the USA are allowed to park within the property. Even some domestic vehicles are not allowed if they were not made in the USA. They will let you know at the guard shack if you can park onsite or not. See parking policy under Welcome Arrival Reception. Please don't take it personally!

Where Are You Registered?

Since we will be moving to San Antonio in years to come we would like to limit items to move down. Until then there are many renovation projects to take on at the Ranch. We are also delaying a formal honeymoon to Australia until the summer of 2020. With that said any type of gift card for Home Depot, Lowe's, prepaid Visa/Mastercard are greatly appreciated.

How do we get into the UAW Center for the Welcome Arrival Reception if not staying there?

Answer

If you are not staying at the UAW Center and would like to attend Friday night's Welcome Reception let Shawn know (210 825-7434). You have to be put on the guest list at the guard shack before they will let you in. Don't forget about the UAW parking policy! If there's a mixup (known to happen there!) and they do not have you on the guest list don't fret! Call or text Shawn and someone will go meet you.
