Question

Where is the venue? Is there parking? Is it accessible?

Answer

We will be getting married at Lakeside Estate, in Powhatan, Virginia. Address: 3661 Anderson Hwy, Powhatan, VA 23139 There is plenty of on-site parking available, however, we still recommend that you carpool if possible with a designated driver or take the hotel shuttle if applicable if you are planning on drinking for the safety of yourself and others. You can also try to use Uber or Lyft, however this venue is in a rural area so rideshare may be limited. This venue is ADA accessible, so if you need a mobility device (wheelchair, walker, etc.), you will still be able to access the ceremony, reception, and bathroom sites easily and safely.

Will there be a shuttle between the hotel(s) and the venue?

Answer

Yes! Shuttle from hotel —> venue is at 3:45pm on Saturday. Shuttle from venue —> hotel is 9pm if you want to head back early, 10pm if you want to stay for the whole reception

Is there a color scheme for the wedding that I should wear or avoid?

Answer

The wedding party will be in a variety of colors, so you are free to wear whatever colors you want!

What food will there be?

Answer

We have Pearl Island Catering (Caribbean cuisine) for cocktail hour snacks and a buffet style dinner. They are a predominantly gluten free catering company and we have also selected many vegan/veg friendly options.
