There is so much to see and do near Durango, Co!! It is close to the corner of the state and borders New Mexico, Utah and Arizona, so many great points of interest are in a half days drive or less!
Durango itself is a great historic western town with old west saloons, adorable shops and some of the best restaurants with great drinks and food! There is lots of great hiking, water rafting... and of course the train!

Moab is about 3 hours away, but there is Arches national park and Canyonlands State park. You also have extreme side by sides and sky diving for risk takers!
