As you might be aware, Hurricane Helen caused devastation to Asheville and its surrounding areas. The community is rebuilding, and most establishments in Downtown Asheville are open, while other areas are not ready for visitors. We encourage you to enjoy your trip to Asheville and shop/eat locally to support the rebuilding of the community. Formal attire is requested. What is Formal Attire for a Wedding? Formal wedding attire sits between cocktail and black tie on the wedding dress code scale. It's slightly more elevated than cocktail attire and a touch less dressy than a black-tie nuptial. Formal wedding attire (synonymous with black-tie optional attire) offers a bit more flexibility than black tie, so ankle-length dresses and dressy separates are acceptable, as well as fitted, darker-hued suits paired with a crisp white button-down and tie.
Our Wedding Ceremony and Cocktail Hour will be held outside. Typical Asheville, NC, temperatures in November range from 38-58 degrees. Please plan to bring an additional layer of clothing if necessary. The Wedding Reception will be held indoors.
No transportation will be provided to the Resort. However, we encourage everyone to plan ahead and use a ride-share service, especially if consuming alcohol and not staying at Grove Park Inn after the Ceremony.
Yes, there are both self-park and valet parking options available at Grove Park Inn.
