Dress Comfortable and Wear Walking Shoes If You're Coming On The Ghost Tour After
Let's all toast our arrival together! We will be fresh off the plane and ready to party (we might be a couple of minutes late, so feel free to start the festivities without us). This bar is spacious and makes some tasty cocktails. If you're staying at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel, don't forget to use your free/discounted drink voucher! After a QUICK drink here, everyone who wants to will head onwards to the Ghost Tour of the French Quarter.
5:45 pm - 8:00 pm
COMFORTABLE SHOES ARE A MUST
Come along with us on a ghost tour of the French Quarter. This is a must for those of you who haven't been to New Orleans before. Fair warning, it's sometimes a bit much for the faint of heart! If enough of y'all commit to go, I can make a reservation for us to all have one private tour guide, which would be cool! It's $25 plus tax per adult and I'll have to put my credit card on file for the reservation, so you all can just pay me for your spot if we decide to do it this way! Please RSVP on here so that I can get a head count! For More Info: https://hauntedhistorytours.com/index.php/our-tours/french-quarter-ghost-legends-tour-new-orleans-ghost-tour
8:30 pm
The attire is casual!
Okay, we're not really going to be "rehearsing" at this rehearsal dinner, but people might be confused if I said "casual nosh dinner". Surprisingly, Oceana agreed to hosting our big Krewe of misfits without blinking an eye. From our experience, they have REALLY good blackened duck, blackened/fried alligator, and pretty good cajun pasta. Plus, they've got vegetarian options! https://www.oceanagrill.com/oceana-grill-dinner-menu/
4:00 pm
The attire is semi-formal with a fun flare. Mardi Gras colors are welcome, just make sure to wear shoes that can walk through Audubon Park
The Tree of Life in Audubon Park is near the back of the park, close to the zoo. If you're driving yourself, take East Drive just past Tchoupitoulas Street and there will be parking on your left.
6:00 pm
Let's celebrate with a big ol' hurricane at the oldest operating bar in America. Word to the wise, it's strong as hell, beware! http://www.lafittesblacksmithshop.com/Homepage.html
7:30 pm
Semi Formal
We've never actually been here before, so it'll be an adventure for all of us!
12:30 pm
Let's all do lunch at Acme, because... does there really need to be a reason? It's delicious, end of story. And yes, prepare to wait in line.
5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Everyone is welcome to join us for a cocktail in the seance room! It's one of the coolest, semi-secret spots in the quarter, and Muriel's always has good seasonal cocktails and wine. We've got a family reservation for 6:00 downstairs (they wouldn't let us book a table big enough for everyone), but if you know what's good for you, you should have dinner downstairs, too!
6:00 pm
Formal
Last year, Lezlie and I had one of the best meals of our life here (only moments after getting engaged), so it is a "must visit". Unfortunately, Muriel's doesn't take reservations for more than 8, so if you want to come make a reservation now and maybe we'll get lucky and be in the same room. The Roasted Onion & Gruyere Tart and the Duck Breast Jambalaya are life changing! Dessert is good but not mind-blowing, so my advice is to fill up on appetizers (we once had a meal of just appetizers here and had no regrets).
2:00 pm
Casual
With Happy Hour from 2-6 every day, we can pop in here and get a late lunch with half off pizzas and drink specials!
4:00 pm
Can't go to NOLA without some Bananas Foster!
