2012 is where it all began… a young Kelly & Kau, working in the middle of nowhere at a remote site called DeGrussa Copper Mine. Picture red dirt for days, donga living, gourmet meals from the mess hall, and plenty of sleepless nights. Hardly the backdrop of a romance novel — but somehow, between hard hats, hi-vis, and dirty boots, we found each other. From those early days, our romance began on R&R breaks, giving Kau his first real taste of life beyond Australia and New Zealand. From sun-soaked beaches to snowy mountains, cruise ships to road trips, travel became the spark that kept our story exciting. Sure, we can’t always read maps (whether overseas or in the big city) and we’ve had our fair share of ‘lost and arguing or not talking’ moments, but those only added to the journey. Our very first stop? Bali… and look where we’ve ended up! 💍🌴 The best and most beautiful part of our story, our baby girl, Ayla. After years of hoping and dreaming, we were blessed with our cheeky little ‘Aylabum,’ who lights up our world in every way. These days, life’s all about cherishing the moments and exploring with her by our side and if you ask Ayla, the Pyramids of Egypt are next on the itinerary. And yes, Daddy… after the wedding, it’s happening! This wedding is just the next chapter in our story — and we can’t wait to celebrate it with all of you. xxx
