Millennium Park is just 2 blocks away from the Palmer House! It's a great place to go for a walk and enjoy the city skyline. You can also see the city's iconic "bean" and the face fountains. Bonus! If you walk thru the park toward the lake, you'll see Maggie Daley Park which has a great kids playground, mini golf course and rock climbing wall.

The very first Ferris wheel made its grand debut on June 21, 1893, at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Today, you can visit the The Centennial Wheel at Navy Pier is a 196-foot observation wheel which opened in 2016 to celebrate the pier's 100th anniversary. There are plenty of other activities, restaurants and shops at Navy Pier to enjoy too!

The SkyDeck at the top of the Sears Tower (technically Willis Tower now but no one from Chicago calls it that) offers panoramic views of the city, a museum about the history of Chicago, and if you're up for it, you can also stand in The Ledge-- one of the glass boxes that hangs 103 stories over the streets of Chicago. Note this activity does cost approx $34.
