When you aren't actively celebrating our love, here are two areas on Block Island that we love.
1. Mohegan Bluffs & Southeast Lighthouse
35 min walk; 7-min car; 10-min bike from Inn
Brave the 141 steps from the bluffs to the beach and take in the beautiful views of the ocean AND a GE wind farm. Then about 100 yards down the road you can stroll around the red-brick Southeast Lighthouse and grounds. Views!
2. New Harbor
30-min walk; 10-min car; 15-min bike from Inn
New Harbor is home to the world famous Payne's Dock where Donahues have docked boats with 'zip' in their name for nearly a hundred years. Stop at Dead Eye Dick's for one of the best lobster rolls of all-time. Walk to the end of the dock and post up @ Mahogany Shoals for a mudslide or head over to The Oar. Loud bar, but so many oars! Round it all out with a hot donut from Payne's Killer Donuts. There's... never been a better donut?
And there's always the Adirondack chairs @ Spring House. Nothing beats a book & a view.
