Although we would love to include everyone at our wedding unfortunately our venue can only accommodate so many people, so we request only guests listed on the invitation to attend.
To give all our guests, including parents, the opportunity to let their hair down and have a good time, we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
We will include an envelope pre-addressed and stamped with the response cards, once the invitations are sent out, but we will also be offering an online RSVP option right here on this website.
We do not have a theme per se, but we think “Rustic Romance” elicits the vibe.
Yes. We are registered right here on the Zola website as well as at Target and Macy's. Check out the Registry Tab above to see the Zola registry as well as convenient links to the other stores.
The main colors being incorporated in the wedding are muted tones of: blush pink, mauve rose, burgundy, gold, and grey for the father of the bride and groomsmen. Our guests will certainly not be banned from wearing any colors, ultimately we just want you to be and feel like your best self. We only wish for guests to be aware and respect that wearing certain colors can accidentally lead to you matching the wedding party.
Although our Wedding Ceremony as well as the Reception will be held indoors, guests will be whisked around to different sections of the gorgeous venue throughout the night, so a light sweater or jacket is recommended.
We are suggesting Garden Attire: (examples include but not restricted to: flowy dresses, floral prints, dress pants, button downs, light sweaters and jackets) . Dress sharp, as long as you can still cut a rug, we'll allow it. (Ties are optional, dancing is not)
Cute yet comfortable. The venue is a bit rustic so stilettos certainly would not be the recommended choice. We suggest flats for ample mobility on the dance floor.
Amplified Music is required to conclude around 11pm. We predict the party will wind down around then as well.
Duh! What kind of party would it be without some good eats?! We have an awesome caterer "Lunch Lady Catering". We will have hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and a buffet dinner.
Yes. We will be serving beer and wine at the bar as well as our signature cocktails.
Yes. There is ample parking at the venue but we highly encourage the use of Uber or Lyft to get to and from your accommodations safely. There will also be Some Shuttle Services available to guests, please check the Lodging Tab for more information.
This is of course totally fine. We expect everyone to enjoy themselves and return safely to their accommodations, so you are more than welcome to leave your car overnight at the Union Hill Inn parking lot. It just is requested that you retrieve your vehicle the following day. Sunday 9-29-19 by 12:00pm Noon.
Yes. We will be requesting that all our guests set aside their personal cell phones and cameras and allow themselves to be fully present during the ceremony portion of the night. It is our chance to connect with one another, appreciate the exchange of promises, and showcase our love with all our guests. No need to worry though, we have our photographer Erica who will be taking pictures during this time.
We will have our amazing photographer Erica Baldwin taking pictures throughout the event, as well as our photo booth available for many photo opportunities. We of course also encourage guests to partake in as many selfies and candid shots as they see fit throughout cocktail hour and the reception!
Yes. We will have a photobooth available for guests throughout the reception, so start practicing your best blue steel looks. There will be printouts available to take home as an additional memento.
Of course we do ! So Don't forget to add it to the gram. #GonnaMarryACarey
This is probably the most common question that has been asked of us, and the answer in turn could be the most confusing. The answer is actually YES and NO. YES, Kelly will be changing her name, BUT...She will also be keeping the "ROSE” namesake. Kelly will change [Rose] to be her new MIDDLE NAME. YES she decided to take on John's last name [Stanford-Carey], BUT...she decided to only take on one of his last names [CAREY]! So can we have a round of applause, drumroll, tambourine shimmy, for the Future Mrs. Kelly Rose Carey. John on the other hand decided to just KEEP his name as is... Johnathan Edward Stanford-Carey. Kelly did try to throw Rose somewhere in there too hoping maybe he would not notice, but no such luck. It is pretty regal after all.
Yes! Darby girl will be AT the wedding, but more than likely, not actually IN the wedding. Maybe she will be given the title of a “Junior Barks-maid," or even "Dog of Honor" But don’t worry though, Quincy would then be promoted to "Best Dog!"
We are actually planning to go on a "mini-moon" after the wedding. After the best day ever, the only place to go is the happiest place on earth of course ...Disneyland! Our “main-moon” will have to wait until 2020 when we plan to travel to Paris and Amsterdam...la belle vie!
We tried to be as thorough as we could to help alleviate any pre-wedding wonders, but if we overlooked something, feel free to reach out to the Mother of the Bride Kathleen via txt or call at. 916-261-5126
