No need to travel up to Muir Woods when you can check out some younger redwoods in our (almost!) backyard. Less than a mile walk from the wedding venue, it's a serene spot to explore. A walking path connects the Redwood Grove to Shoup Park with two fun playgrounds- 400 University Ave, Los Altos, CA 94022
A local favorite serving delicious Pakistani and Indian dishes— first meal we had after the cross-country road trip moving into Stanford!
Stanford has a beautiful campus with old Spanish architecture and palm trees lining the roads— swing by the Business School to see where full-grown adults like Jacob and Kelly pretend to be college students again!
Tasty ice cream with some interesting flavors in downtown Palo Alto, which is a cute little area to check out! Across the street from Oren's Hummus- also a great spot!
Half Moon Bay has tons of beaches and great coastal trails that go for miles— the Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail ( 37°27'50.2"N 122°26'34.9"W ) or Francis / Poplar Beach are about ~27 miles from hotel block and are great places to route to, but could find a nice spot anywhere along the coast!
If you can make it up to the city, there's endless places to explore! Some of our favorites include: - Presidio (huge park with beaches, trails, and great views of the Golden Gate) - Mission Dolores Park (and while in the neighborhood, get a classic Mission burrito!) - Chinatown (oldest Chinatown in North America and one of— if not THE largest— outside of Asia)
