Flight
The most-direct route to Seven Mile Island is to fly into Philadelphia, rent a car, and drive. Philly is a 1.5 hour drive from Stone Harbor/Avalon. The drive will take you through beautiful south Jersey! If you’re feeling crazy, you could also try flying into Atlantic City! Then you may drive the Garden State parkway while blasting Bruce Springsteen.
Travel Note
One of the best ways to get around the island is by bike! It is really fun to rent beach cruisers and ride everywhere. Another way to get around is by golf cart, which is fun because the speed limit on the island is 25! One thing to know about driving on the island is that pedestrians have the right of way, and the cops are very bored so they will pull you over for going even a few MPH over the speed limit. Kelly knows this all too well.

Travel Note
As we mentioned in the intro, the earlier you can book lodging in Stone Harbor or Avalon, the better! You seem to get a better deal at most places by booking early and directly with the hotel/motel rather than from a third party website. Many of them don’t even show up on places like hotels.com. Also, just because a place is not recommended on here doesn’t necessarily mean we don’t recommend it :) most places down here are pretty solid! Kelly’s parents house is on 86th street in Stone Harbor, so if you are interested in being able to walk there, that is something to note!
