It all started in Bloomington, Indiana. At IU, home of cream and crimson, and one fateful date at Noodles & Company. Kelly was a junior, Connor a senior, and neither of them had any idea that a simple bowl of pasta would turn into a lifetime of love. That first date sparked something easy and instant. Kelly and Connor spent the rest of college doing what every pair of twenty-somethings does best; studying, late-night food runs, $2 Tuesday nights, sorority and fraternity formals, and a lot of laughing. When Connor graduated and headed to Chicago to start his career at Uber, we found ourselves facing our first big test: long distance. Between Kelly’s grad school years in Bloomington and Connor’s life in the city, we became pros at road trips, FaceTime calls, and missing each other in all the small, everyday ways. But every reunion made it clear, this was it. The distance wasn’t easy, but it never changed how sure we were about each other. When Kelly finally finished grad school and made the move to Chicago, everything fell into place. We found our cozy apartment in Lincoln Park, adopted our beloved pup Harper, and started building the life we’d been dreaming about for years. These days, you’ll find us exploring new corners of the city, hosting poker nights with friends, or spending the night in with netflix and thai. We love dinners that turn into long conversations, visiting our families back in Indiana, and laughing, always laughing, at our own inside jokes. Our relationship has always been a mix of love and playful rivalry, the kind where teasing turns into laughter and every challenge makes us stronger. From the start, we both knew this was something real, something lasting. We’ve grown up together, built a life together, and through every chapter - College, long distance, new jobs, a new city, we’ve been each other’s constant. Now, as we get ready to say “I do,” we can’t help but think back to that first date in Bloomington. Who knew that a shared love of pasta and a spark on campus would turn into this. A partnership built on laughter, loyalty, and a love that feels like home.
