Hotel
Wilton Castle is our main hotel venue. We have a block of rooms reserved that are available on a first come first serve basis. Of course, you’re welcome to explore other options in the area as well. Please get in touch with Kelly or Colin if you’d like to reserve a room at Wilton.
Hotel
This beautiful resort is less than 15 minutes from Wilton Castle, which is our wedding venue. We are not able to block rooms off here due to the limited headcount for the wedding, but rooms are affordable and vary from $115-$140 per night.
Train
Train is a lovely way to travel the country and not have to worry about hiring a car or driving on the opposite side of the road. The rail system in Ireland is absolutely wonderful and affordable, and generally hits all of the major destinations on the emerald island.
Travel Note
Dublin is the largest airport (and the most affordable) to fly into. The bride and groom plan to fly in and out of Dublin so that they can see the city without incorporating it directly into the itinerary. Shannon is another major airport that is a good option for those planning to start their vacation in Galway or Cork. Alternatively, you can also fly directly into Cork airport. It is smaller and has limited availability. Other options are Knock Airport in County Mayo (Northwest Ireland) and Belfast Airport (Northeastern Ireland).
Hotel
Downtown Frederick is easily the most desirable place to stay if you're visiting from out of town. It's quaint, walkable, and filled with things to do. While we don't have any formal hotels downtown, we do have LOADS of charming Air BnB's and actual Bed and Breakfasts. We also have a handful of hotels outside of downtown that are listed on the same partnership page (link is below) If you're unsure of locations or are looking for guidance/insight for great areas to stay...please don't hesitate to reach out to Kelly or Colin for advice :) As Frederick natives- we are happy to point you in the right direction!
