You may need to get a timed entry day pass so plan ahead. Estes is a very cute town just outside Rocky Mountain National Park with great shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and breweries.
When there is not a show, you can check out the amphitheater and museum or hike the easy trail around the venue.
