Forsyth Park
A must-see 30-acre park in the heart of Savannah, known for its mossy oak trees, wide walking paths, and iconic fountain. It's a great spot for a morning stroll, coffee break, or simply relaxing on a bench and people-watching.
The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist
A jaw-droppingly beautiful Gothic Catholic cathedral open to the public. Whether you're religious or not, it’s worth stepping inside just to admire the stained glass and ornate details.
Savannah's Squares
There are 22 charming squares across the historic district, each with its own story, monuments, and shady benches. Great for wandering, relaxing, or snapping some quintessential Savannah photos. Check out Chippewa Square for the famous Forrest Gump bench and bus stop!
River Street
Cobblestone streets, river views, and endless shops and bars make this one of the liveliest areas in Savannah. It’s perfect for an afternoon walk with a drink in hand (yes, Savannah allows open containers downtown!).
Broughton Street
Savannah’s main shopping street has everything from big names to quirky local boutiques. You’ll also find coffee shops, bookstores, and good spots to grab lunch or a drink between stops.
JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District
Built within a restored 1912 power plant along the riverfront, this hotel is part museum, part luxury resort, and part bar hub. Telfair Museums
Telfair includes three historic sites: the Telfair Academy, the Owens-Thomas House & Slave Quarters, and the Jepson Center. It’s a great way to take in some art and history, all within a few blocks (https://www.telfair.org/).
