Marriage is a sacred sacrament within the Catholic faith. To put it simply, we sing hymns, proclaim scripture, hear a homily (sermon), and receive the Eucharist (Holy Communion). The wedding vows take place immediately after the homily! Afraid you'll be confused? Programs will be distributed that allows you to participate in our wedding celebration.
Yes! Catholics believe that Jesus raised marriage to be a sacrament (like Baptism), and therefore, we believe that our weddings are sanctified in a full Catholic Mass. The service will be as long as a typical Sunday service.
Wear your Sunday best or dressy casual. Additionally, since the ceremony is being held in a place of worship, we ask that guests wear modest attire. Feel free to wear your cowboy boots to the reception!
We recommend that you arrive at least 30 minutes before the wedding ceremony begins. The church and its sanctuary are stunning, and we encourage you to take in all of the details. We promise you will not be bored.
Both the wedding ceremony and reception will take place indoors.
We have an AMAZON Wedding Registry.
Beer and wine will be available during reception/dinner/dance. No outside alcohol is allowed at Double Creek Crossing.
