A rental car is not necessary if you plan to stay primarily at the resort, though some guests may prefer one if they plan to explore Tulum and the surrounding areas.
Uber service in Tulum can be limited and unreliable. We recommend private transportation services or taxis arranged through the resort and please visit the travel tab for recommendations from the couple.
The resort uses filtered water, but we recommend bottled water while exploring outside the resort.
Tulum is generally very safe in resort and tourist areas. As with any travel destination, we recommend staying aware of your surroundings and using reputable transportation services.
Most restaurants, resorts, and vendors accept credit cards, though we recommend bringing small amounts of dollars or pesos for tips, taxis, and local shops.
