Ok, so this is about an hour away from Persie House, but this yew tree is estimated to be 5,000 years old! Hot damn that's neat!
Blair Athol Distillery
About 35 minutes away in the little town of Pitlochry, this distillery was established in 1798 and does tours. What would a trip to Scotland be without some genuine scotch?
Edinburgh
Civilization in this area dates back to the Bronze Age (600 BC!) and maintains its identity as a cultural hub today. So, whether you want a pint in a pub older than America, or a cheeky Scottish kilt, you'll find what you are looking for here!
Loch Ness
Two and a half hours from Persie House. Loch Ness is the home of Urquhart Castle and the aloof Loch Ness monster. It's the largest freshwater body of water in the UK, going as deep as 755 feet and running 23 miles long. A boat tour might benefit us if we are trying to find Nessie!
Stirling Castle
A family friendly Castle to explore! This castle is partially restored to its former glory with period actors and activities for the kiddos. Plus, Sterling is the famed area where Sir William Wallace (Mel Gibson in Braveheart) defeated the English army in September 1297.

A four-hour drive from Persie House, the famed "Isle of Skye" is considered one of the most beautiful places in Scotland.
