Kellie and Jack met just a few days after Kellie turned 19, thanks to mutual friends (shoutout to Taylah). They first met up in the Valley, which went well enough to score Jack a date at the Yatala Drive-In… where Kellie, in classic form, fell asleep in the back of Colin before the first movie was even halfway through. From there, Jack took Kellie on plenty of little adventures around his side of town while they navigated a short bit of distance—nothing major, just inconvenient enough to make last-minute plans a challenge. Kellie spent her Sundays watching Jack play cricket (or napping on the sidelines… also classic), while Jack supported Kellie through a big career change. Not long after, they worked their butts off and bought their first home within 12 months—still their biggest achievement yet. Life now is full of camping, adventures, and their two dogs, Waylen and Mervin—who only exist because Jack said, “you can’t just get one,” and Kellie ran with that. Jack proposed at one of their favourite little creek spots, and since then they haven’t stopped choosing each other. As long as there’s good music, a nice sunset, and each other, they’re pretty happy doing life together.
