We're getting married!

We went to the same high school but officially met each other at a friend’s house on a Friday night. We smiled at each other quite a lot but were both too shy to say anything beyond Hi. Once Chris left, I asked our mutual friend about him. He said he was going to give him my number and I was all for that. So yes, I was the one to pursue this first : ) We kept in contact over the next few years going to baseball games and sushi dates every once in a while. On August 22, 2014, we decided we kind of liked each other a lot a lot and have been inseparable since then.

The day we will remember forever! Back story, when we go golfing together, we have a rule that the person who loses owes the other person a date. Chris set up the two dates he owed on one day : ) He took me to the Getty Villa in Malibu, and it was amazing. We then left to go to dinner (well I thought we were going to dinner), but we first stopped at a hidden garden. It was beautiful and so serene. Many of our dates include going to botanical gardens together so nothing seemed out of the ordinary. After walking around the pond, and feeling Chris' heart racing, Chris got down on one knee and asked me to Marry him! I instantly hugged him and said of course! Chris continued the surprises and took me to Gladstone’s where he had reserved a whole room for just us that overlooked the beach. He hired one of my favorite local musicians to perform just for us. We watched the sunset while taking in the moment. Words cannot describe how much we love each other and how excited we are to spend the day celebrating with our family on 08.22. We can’t wait for this exciting new chapter to begin!
