Early in the Summer of 2011, we met at a super-cool, Monday night running group called "Meet Me at Maynards" or "MMM". Despite our mutual attraction, we became fast friends over the daring confessions of our "deep-dark-dirties". Instantly bonded, we committed to embracing numerous adventures together, all intended to push our respective comfort zones. To this day Brad's phone number remains in Kellie's phone as "Brad MMM". Our first official date was three months after we met on September 8, 2011 (note the date). We went to a Sky Island's poetry reading and Brad tried to hold my hand that night. I pulled away (like a lady) but he proceeded to hold it anyway. This was the first time I realized I might have trouble saying "no" to this man. Our first kiss was more than two months later on Thanksgiving of 2011. With his pearly whites incarcerated in sparking metallic braces, Brad pulled me close and puckered. Coyly, I attempted to refuse and failed. No one was harmed by the braces. We said those three little words a year later on Thanksgiving Day, 2012. He meant to say "We're late" but what came out was "I love you". Though he was startled, I remained cool and collected. Obviously I loved him too; I had for a while. And though I tried, I was no longer able to keep my secret and I declared my love with an eloquent "I know right?" On August 1, 2017, Brad knelt in the freezing cold water of Sweet Creek Falls outside of Mapleton, Oregon, and with a ring that symbolizes absolutely everything, he asked me to marry him. I responded with a graceful expletive "&%$^" as in that moment I finally knew that I would NEVER be able to tell him "no". Clearly, we take our time with these things. We are so blessed and excited to share our journey with all of you. Please join us and bear witness as we push our respective comfort zones once again and officially commit to embracing countless adventures together...but this time with jewelry.
