June 2017: after 6 months of getting to know each other, Alex finally worked up the courage to ask Kellie to his UCSD Athlete Formal!

October 2017: Officially a couple! Kellie takes Alex to one of her riveting sorority formals (dressed as Taco Belle), and of course, Michael Palos had to make an appearance.

June 2018: More athlete formals were attended!

June 2018: Kellie graduates from UCSD and starts working in healthcare. Alex decides to take a 5th year to play more baseball, officially making Kellie a graduated D2 Baseball Groupie.

July 2018: celebrating their first anniversary in San Francisco (foreshadowing?)

Summer 2018: first big trip together to Hawaii! Lots of bug bites and lots of fun ✨

May 2019: Baseball career is still going strong! Alex goes to the D2 World Series for a 3rd time. Kellie is sad that she has to work and can’t attend.

June 2019: Alex graduates with a degree in sociology of law! Kellie is still sadly working.

July 2019: second anniversary! (Kellie took her first sick day from work and felt instantly guilty about lying about being sick)

August 2019: another trip together to San Francisco….hmm….

July 2020: third anniversary, COVID edition! This was the summer of beers in the park.

August 2021: Alex gets accepted to UC Hastings in… San Francisco! Kellie is so proud of him and so sad that they are going to be long distance for 3 years. (Or will they?)

October 2021: Kellie makes many visits to Alex in SF and decides that maybe she should make this a permanent thing…

June 2022: Kellie graduates with her Masters in Education and lands a job teaching in… San Francisco! Long distance no more 😎

July 2022: Kellie and Alex celebrate their 5th anniversary with some pretty inspiring JC Penney photos.

September 2022: two San Francisco residents! Kellie and Alex are stoked to be together again and make the most of their time in the Bay with lots of weekend exploring, hikes, and lots of good food.

October 2022: Kellie and Alex become parents! Winston becomes their newest obsession (and the cause of many future gray hairs).

2022-2024: too many photos to include, but Kellie and Alex have the best time being Bay Area residents for 2 years. They especially love Outside Lands!

April 2024: after 7 years together, Alex proposes to Kellie at the Presidio in front of both of their families 🤍🩵

May 2024: Alex graduates from law school and accepts a job in San Diego! Back to their roots. Now he just has to pass the bar….

November 2024: Alex passes the bar, Kellie gets a job at an amazing school in Del Mar, and they are ecstatic to be back in the city where they first fell in love 😃

2025: LOTS of weddings of friends and family have been attended this year! This gets Kellie and Alex in the wedding planning mode (which is more stressful than it seems) 🤪

August 2025: two people who are ready to be MARRIED! Yeehaw 🤠
