Wedding Party

Kelli Reid

Bride

MidAmerica Nazarene University was a small school where we were all familiar with one another so when I saw a new face in the cafeteria I was caught off guard. I was eating with some friends and saw this cute guy sitting alone at a table and wanted to join him. I asked the girls if they had met him or seen him around, but he was a mystery to all of us. I saw him a few more times after that but didn’t want to come on too strong so I kept to myself. A few weeks later, after some yoga with a friend, she wanted to invite some of our friends over for some games. We called a couple of our close football friends and they agreed to come, letting us know they would be bringing a new friend along. That evening, Brian walked through the door and I was hooked. The rest is history.

Brian Marty

Groom

It was my junior year of college, I had just transferred to MidAmerica Nazarene University. I was hanging out with my new friends and they suggested we go over to a friend Kayla’s house and I knew Kelli was going to be there. After suffering through watching High School Musical, someone suggested that we play some Wii sports. It started out very civil, but as the competition got going and the games more challenging, Kelli's competitive nature came out and I knew something was special about this girl. When she beat me in Wii darts and bragged endlessly about her victory, I knew I had to get to know this girl better.

Shannon Reid

Maid of Honor

I am Kelli's big sister and self proclaimed best friend. I am SO excited for the happy couple and cannot wait for their big day. I could not be happier for Brian and Kelli and I know they will make each other happy for the entirety of their lives.

Taylor Reid

Bridesmaid

Sister of the bride.

Katelyn Mardeusz

Bridesmaid

Kelli and I have known each other since elementary school but didn’t become friends until our junior year of high school. Before then, we had our own little soccer rivalry between us where we competed with each other and tried to out play each other even when we played on the same team. It just took a few laughs and some bonding on a bus ride home to bring our friendship together. She is one of my very best friends and I am so excited to be by her side as she marries the love of her life!

Shelbi Durfee

Bridesmaid

Kelli and I have been friends for about 10 years now. We met playing club soccer, at first we were not the best of friends- I just thought she was scary. Then I realized she was just scary on the soccer field. We parted ways for a while after club ball but always remained in contact and found time to hangout.  Then college happened, and it was a blessing to be back together again! We built up our friendship and it’s safe to say that Kel is a forever friend! She has taught me so much and we are the definition of tough love. We have been through the highs and lows with each other and never left each others side! Now I am so excited to continue to stand by her side on this big day marrying the perfect guy for her. I can’t wait explore this next adventure of life together!

Kayla Ferguson

Bridesmaid

Kel and I became friends during my first year at MNU. We had both just switched our majors to nursing. We suffered through the two hard years of nursing school and luckily graduated. Kelli and I went on a date to Texas Roadhouse and that was the start of our crazy friendship. It led to spring break trips, random ice cream runs, her dragging my butt to the gym, study dates, and two-stepping anytime we got the chance. I remember the first time Kelli met Brian. It was at my house after she had dragged me to hot yoga. You could immediately tell there was a connection there. I’m beyond excited for Brian and Kelli and what the future holds for them!

Ellie Dietz

Bridesmaid

Kelli was my roommate in college. She was one of my biggest fans and truest supporters throughout our college athlete grind. I am beyond excited to be there the same way for her and Marty on their wedding day!

Cassie Miller

Bridesmaid

Kelli and I knew each other from soccer but we were on rival teams. First day of sophomore year at Cactus Shadows High School, we ended up sitting next to each other in English class. From then on we were spending every day together. Soon enough we even became teammates on the soccer field and we became inseparable. Sharing almost every similarity in the books: church, soccer, food, adventuring, country music, sleeping, and watching Disney movies. Kell will always be my better half and so thankful for our friendship even if she started out as my rival. So excited to see what the future holds for these two!

Rae Wiltshire

Bridesmaid

Kelli and I have been friends since our freshman year at MNU! We both played on the soccer team and since the first day I met her we have been really great friends! She supported me a lot through our time at MNU, especially when it came to playing on the field! I’m thankful for all the memories we have made, especially all of our lunch dates in the cafe, to all of our trips to get ice cream. I am grateful for our friendship and getting the chance to watch Kelli marry the man of her dreams is beyond exciting! I cant wait to see what the future holds for them!

Eric Marty

Best Man

I’ve known Brian for a little over 20 years. Really since just after he was born and the state of Washington declared us brothers.

Kyle Marty

Groomsman

Brian is my little brother and I am so excited for him to tie the knot with Kelli. The first time I really met Kelli was at a beach volleyball tournament at Sea Side and there I realized Kelli has no problem hanging with the Marty family! She is selfless, loving, and tough! She's a Marty for sure!

Martin Marty

Groomsman

Brian is my youngest brother and he has been a stud since he was born. I’m proud of him because he works hard, is a great QB, he’s super smart, knows how to build an awesome chicken coup, and he’s getting married.

Trent Thompson

Groomsman

Brian and I walked into our dorm room on the first day of college and introduced ourselves as roommates. We lived, ate, played, and practiced together. We have been through a lot together: School, sports, relationships. Brian has truly been there for me through it all. I have had the pleasure of spending time with both the Marty family and Kelli. I am glad that God brought her into Brian's life; I can't imagine a better match for my guy Brian. I am honored to be a part of this wedding and I can't wait for the Big Day!

Casey Dawes

Groomsman

Brian and I first met through a select baseball team our senior year of high school, and we quickly became friends. We went separate directions in college, but upon graduating, our friendship picked right back up. I’ve still never beat Brian in a round of golf, a streak spanning countless rounds, but there is never a bad time, no matter the activity. I am excited to be a part of this special day for him and Kelli.

David Nelson

Groomsman

I met Brian during our time at Mid America Nazarene University through mutual friends and having business classes together. From hanging out watching sporting events to hitting the links, Brian was always someone you could count on to kick it. While his jump shot still needs some work, boy can he hit a golf ball. I can't wat to be a part of Kelli and Brian's big day and I look forward to the memories that follow!
