Temecula Wineries
We LOVE Temecula--that's why we're getting married here! Some of our favorite wineries are Miramonte, Monte de Oro, and of course Ponte. Ponte has a sister winery Bottaia, which has a wine and charceuterie pairing (we recommend making reservations!), a wine blending lab, and a pool that is open to all guests!
San Diego Beer Scene
Depending on who you ask, San Diego is the Craft Capital of the country (at least we think so!) There are over 155 breweries in San Diego, and while we don't recommend visiting all of them in one weekend, some of our favorites are as follows: Ballast Point Brewery in Little Italy, Stone Brewing Company, Modern Times, Karl Strauss (which actually has a location in Temecula), Coronado Brewing Co, and Belching Beaver. Sample away!
Explore the Coastal Towns
North County San Diego has some beautiful coastal towns, all with their own personalities, delicious restaurants, fun coffee shops, and boutique stores. Our favorites are Carlsbad and Encinitas.
Balboa Park
If you find yourself with free time down in San Diego, check out Balboa Park! This is a magnificent, open air park with attached museums, spots to eat (check out The Prado!), and some beautiful gardens.
La Jolla Cove
La Jolla is a go to spot for us whenever we have guests in town, or simply want to get some sunshine! La Jolla Cove is a hot spot for seals and sea lions to sun bathe and play in the waves. There is also a large, magnificent beach to enjoy, with options for sun bathing, snorkeling, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Enjoy the day here!
