We wish we could write about our romantic little meet cute in the grocery store, where we bumped into each other and sparks flew, but like many stories this day and age, we did not meet "organically", but found each other on Hinge, an online dating app. Cheyenne came across Luke's profile and responded to one of his prompts on his profile that said "Don't date me if you hate green text bubbles!" After stating that Apple users needed to get over themselves, they quickly settled into easy conversation, getting to know one another over the next couple weeks before planning a date to Parkway Brewery. During the date, we talked too much and the food truck at the brewery ended up closing before we could grab a bite to eat (if you know Cheyenne well, it was past 7pm and she hadn't eaten since 1pm, so she was fading fast). We moved the date over to Mac & Bob's, a restaurant close by (driving separate because whether or not Luke was an axe murderer was unclear still). Upon arrival to Mac & Bob's, Luke was encountered by a group of highschool guys that were on the Lacrosse team he coached that summer. After many threats of making them run until they threw up if they came back to crash the date, they departed, leaving Cheyenne and Luke to continue their date. Once inside, Luke, being a gentleman, sat facing away from the TV's so he wouldn't be distracted by the Penguin's hockey game. Facing the entrance, Cheyenne had a clear view of the door when a gaggle of highschool boys (including Luke's brother Ben) entered the restaurant, made eye contact with the future couple, giggled and ran out the door. In seconds, they were outside the window of their booth, making kissy faces, drawing hearts in the glass, and telling Luke they loved him. Luckily this interruption made for a memorable first date and Luke only slightly terrorized them the next practice! After this, the rest was talking on the phone too late after Cheyenne got off work at 10pm, walks in the moments of free time, and getting to know one another a little more each day. We feel so incredibly grateful to have found each other at the time we did and are so excited to start this next chapter!
