Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
Free to enter amusement park and entertainment area offering a variety of games, rides, putt putt and more. Right on a mile-long stretch of sandy beach, next to the Wharf. Great for both kids and adults!
West Cliff Drive
Walk, bike, run, or drive! West Cliff has the most beautiful views of the ocean and cliffs. This is a must see. Literally the street that the Dream Inn and Sea & Sand Inn are on. Just walk outside.
Natural Bridges State Beach
Have you ever wanted to see a huge rock with a hole through it? Something you see in the movies and photographs? Well here is your chance. This is at the end of West Cliff Drive. In the Winter months, the Monarch Butterflies live here too!
Wilder Ranch State Park
All we can say is WOW. This place is breath taking. This will be for those of you who want a long walk or mysterious bike ride.
Club Ed Surf School + Rentals
Incredibly convenient. Club Ed is a surf shop right on Cowells Beach (outside the Dream Inn). You can rent a wet suite and surfboard, or even take a lesson! Affordable and SO fun! Kelley learned to surf here. There's nothing like catching a wave for your first time.
Venture Quest Kayaking
Walk out on to the Wharf and rent a kayak. Great way to explore the Monterey Bay waters and interact with some sea lions as well as see the Wharf, Boardwalk, Surfers and more. Have fun!!
Seymour Marine Discovery Center
Love marine life? Check this place out for some educated fun. Short uber or walk from Dream Inn and most hotels, great for young kids and people of all ages!
Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park
Take a hike or leisure walk through the redwood trees. It's pretty magical here. So many trails and even places to swim. The wedding venue (Roaring Camp) is in the Redwoods -- so you can take a quick peek during the reception if you wish and or go back for a longer hike to explore.
The Mystery Spot
What can I say? This place is mysterious. You will have to learn for yourself. Fun for all ages, this is an outdoor guided tour and adventure that has been written about since the 1950's and is a well known tourist attraction. Seth and Kelley have had lots of fun showing friends this place on trips to Santa Cruz.
SUP Shack Santa Cruz
Head to the Harbor for some Stand Up Paddle Boarding and to rent a Paddle Board! Great place to see boats as well.
Chardonnay Sailing Charters
Are you coming early or staying late? Take a ride on a gorgeous sailboat through the Monterey Bay with no worries. Each charter has a themed menu where they serve food and drinks!
Sea Goddess Whale Watching
Coming early or staying late? We LOVE to go whale watching and always go with the Sea Goddess. You are guaranteed to see Humpback Whales... if you are lucky killer whales too! This is about a 35 minute south drive to where the boats go out but well worth it with a car rental. Discounts are usually available on Groupon. Great for kids and adults alike!
