Semi-formal to formal. For the ladies: Pastels, florals, and flowy fabrics are all encouraged! For the guys: A suit or dress pants with a button-down works great. Ties are optional, and lighter colors or subtle patterns are welcome. No tuxedos please! Keep in mind that the ceremony and reception will be outdoors on grass, so plan footwear accordingly.

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 pm. We ask that you take your seats 15 minutes prior. Weather permitting our ceremony will take place on the Gallery Suite lawn.

Answer
Stirk House Hotel, Gisburn, Clitheroe BB7 4LJ. Accommodation at Stirk House Hotel will be available for all guests on Wednesday the 5th of August 2026. Prior to rooms being made available for public sale, up to 10 rooms will be reserved for our wedding guests for the Tuesday the day before. If you would like to stay on Tuesday please let us know so we can keep a tally of how many rooms have been booked. To reserve your room at our discounted rate, please call 01200445581. Please reference our names and our wedding date when you call. You will be asked to make a £50 deposit to reserve your room. Discounted room rates per night including breakfast for 2 adults are: Standard Double (£150), Classic Double or Twin (£160), Superior (£190), Suite (£219). Check in is 3:30 pm and check out is 10:30 am. For our American friends and family, we would be happy to reserve your room for you, so that you don't need to make an international call, just message us and let us know what days and which room you'd like to book.

We kindly ask that all phones be silenced and put away for the duration of our ceremony. We've hired a wonderful photographer, Lara, to capture every special moment, so you can relax and be fully present with us. After the ceremony, feel free to take photos and capture memories of the celebration. We'll also be putting together a shared album after the wedding, where everyone is welcome to contribute their photos.

Travel

For our family and friends travelling from abroad we recommend travelling to Manchester International Airport as this is much closer to our wedding venue. Once in Manchester there is limited public transport so we do recommend hiring a car for the duration of your stay so you can better explore the area. If you are not well versed in driving a manual transmission car be sure you double check that the car you hire is listed as an automatic!
