Salida is a fun and vibrant river town with a variety of shops, restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries, etc.. Enjoy the river park or take a stroll along the river path!
S Mountain Trails
A popular and easily accessible trail system right across the river in Salida! S-Mountain offers a variety of hiking and biking trails. Interested in renting a bike? Check out Sub-Culture Cyclery or Absolute Bikes!
Buena Vista
Buena Vista is about 30 minutes from Salida and is another fun downtown to explore. With great restaurants, shops, and trails to explore - a morning or afternoon in BV will not disappoint!
Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort
Enjoy a soak in the hot springs after your travel day or a day of adventures!

Another option for hot springs in the area if your looking to relax!
Monarch Pass
About a 30 minute drive from Salida, beautiful views and a cool little gondola that will take you up above 12,000 feet in elevation. If you're looking to stretch your legs you can also hike a ways on the Monarch Crest trail, an awesome trail with spectacular views where we try to mountain bike at least a couple times every summer. Depending on the spring season there still may be snow at the higher elevations on the trail, but the section closest to the parking lot should be dry by the wedding week.
Tres Litros Beer Company
Our go to spot for post S Mountain bike ride beers! These guys typically have great live music on weekend nights.
Elevation Beer Company
Great patio space and delicious beers! A little closer to Monarch Pass if you plan to explore up there at all.
The Biker & The Baker
Good little spot for breakfast in downtown Salida.
Amicas Pizza Microbrew & More
Disclaimer: We love Amicas so much that we're having their pizza for our wedding dinner Saturday night! However, it's still a cool little spot in town in Salida and they do have some delicious paninis and pastas (or Haley's favorite, house made root beer floats). Still a great spot just don't overdo it on the 'za in advance of Saturday!
Absolute Bikes
If you want to try out mountain biking, this is the best shop in town to get set up with a rental!
Breckenridge
If you can make this more than a weekend trip, we absolutely recommend spending some time in our beautiful hometown of Breckenridge! There's so much to do here in the summer time, give us a shout if you plan to spend some time here and we'll get you some recs!
