Travel Note
October is when Mozambique is transitioning from Winter to Summer. It is typically warmer during this month, but can have cool nights. I would suggest packing layers with a rain coat, in case of rain. Additionally, Maputo’s streets can be a little adventurous, with the occasional pothole and plenty of pebbles, so comfy walking shoes are your best friend. Also don't forget a swimsuit, bug spray, and plenty of sun screen!

Hotel
Located right on beautiful Maputo Bay, Southern Sun offers stunning waterfront views and a comfortable place to relax between wedding events and adventures. This is where guests participating in the adventure package will stay, and it's also where I'll be spending the night before the wedding. If you'd like to stay close to family and friends and make transportation and group activities as seamless as possible, I recommend booking here. That said, there are plenty of other great—and more budget-friendly—options around the city. If you have any questions about accommodations or travel plans, feel free to reach out via email or WhatsApp. I'm happy to help! We can't wait to celebrate with you in Maputo! ✨
Travel Note
Whether you're hopping in a Yango (Mozambique's answer to Uber), catching a taxi, or embracing the local bus system, there are plenty of ways to get around Maputo. For a stress-free experience, I recommend using your hotel's taxi contacts—they're familiar with the city, used to helping visitors, and usually speak some English. The best news? On the wedding day, transportation is on us! We'll provide transport to and from the ceremony and reception, so you can focus on enjoying the festivities. 🥂
