There are quite a few motels and inns located on Samish Way, about a mile away from our home.

Flight

Bellingham International Airport

For those of you flying in from out of state, the Bellingham International Airport is a great option if direct flights are available! It is about 15 minutes away from our home with plenty of hotel lodging nearby. Please note that Lyft is the only rideshare program that will pick up at this airport. If you do not have Lyft, you will need to call a taxi or arrange for a rental vehicle.

Seattle International Airport

For those of you flying in from out of state, there are a few options to get from SeaTac to Bellingham. Airport shuttles can be prearranged for pick up from the airport with drop off at the Four Points Sheraton hotel in Bellingham.

Train

Amtrak

As of May, there are 2 Amtrak trains departs from King Street Station at 8:30am and 6pm. They arrives in Fairhaven/Bellingham in about 2 hours. You can take the LINK light rail from the airport to the International District/Chinatown Station. King Street Station is across the street and down the elevator.

Rental Car

Please plan on arranging rental car pick up before you travel as it more likely that rental cars are sold out during summer time. Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, Dollar, Alamo, and National rentals are available at BLI.

Local car owners rent their cars out to visitors - like Airbnb for cars. They can bring the car to you or arrange pick up. You will need to set up an account ahead of time and load your drivers license and insurance.

Train

Flix Bus/Greyhound Bus

Flix Bus/Greyhound Bus operates regular routes from both Seatac Airport and the Seattle bus station (503 S Royal Brougham Way, 98134 Seattle, WA). There are several in the morning, and several in the evening. None midday from 12-6pm.
