Kayla Brianne

Maid of Honor

I’ve known Kayla since 2006. We became friends while attending East Bladen High School. Kayla and I have been through so many obstacles and no matter what life throws our way we conquer. We share all our special moments together such as our first pregnancies. Kayla exhibits all the traits for a Maid of Honor and I am more than ecstatic to have her stand beside me on my special day.

Kristopher Timmons

Best Man

Kristopher and I grew up together as childhood friends. Our mothers introduced us at a very young age and since then we’ve developed a friendship that has lasted for decades. From hooping in the dirt/clay in his mothers backyard I can say that things have finally come full circle. Till this day KT pushes me to evolve into the best version of myself by getting a little better everyday. As friends, we’ve seen each other through the highest of highs and lowest of lows yet we continue to defy all odds. I can always call on my guy. He epitomizes the role of being my best man as he ensures to always bring the best out of me and I look forward to him standing beside me on this special day.

Rachelle Muckle

Rachelle and I met over a decade ago when we both became members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. After getting to know her, I instantly knew she was a keeper. She exhibits extreme confidence, determination, and poise. The kicker is our birthdays are just a day apart and we usually celebrate them together. So, I am overjoyed to have her stand beside me on my special day.

Kindale Herring

Kindale and I grew up as neighborhood friends turned family. Our friendship goes back tomiddle school where when in doubt we’d hoop, hit the mall, stand in line for kicks, or chill at each other’s house before ultimately ending up at a Bojangles/Cookout near you. During this time, we’d fantasize about the days we’d be successful and carry out our dreams while striving to be great despite the circumstances. In times where we thought there was no way out, we always found a way to make light of our situations and utilize it to push us forward. There was never a time you wouldn’t see one without the other. Kindale is my right hand man. It’s almost surreal to have my brother by my side on my wedding day given where we came from. It’s a blessing and brings me great joy to have him by my side.

Arntia Smith

We met over a decade ago at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Arntia was actually the first person I met when attending college. I approached her looking for a friend and never knew it would turn out to be lifelong . She is such a joy to be around and is all about positivity which is why I am so happy to have her beside me on my special day.

William Hodges

William is actually my first cousin on my mothers side. Obviously, William is more than just a friend. Although he is technically my cousin, due to our relationship he always felt more like a little brother to me. He would literally be attached to my hip on almost everything I did running around our grandmother's house. Fun fact, we actually share the same birthday. For him, I’ve always felt like an older brother in a sense where whatever I did would set an example for him. I love my cousin with everything given we’ve been through some lamentable situations. It brings me great reward to have my cousin stand by my side on my wedding day.

Rikea Henderson

Rikea and I grew up together and lived with each other during our middle school years. She is my first cousin and is a loving and caring family member. Rikea really invested in me when I moved to California and she is always someone I can call when I need anything. This is why I am grateful to have her standing beside me on my special day.

Travares Cunningham

Travares and I have been close friends since highschool. We connected and immediately realized that we were both on the same wavelength in terms striving to be successful despite the hardships and challenges we faced throughout our young adulthood. We also find ways of pushing each other forward and assuring each other that there’s always a way out. At times, it almost feels like we consult one another on how we can reach that next level in life. For example, I remember a time we discussed pledging kappa together in highschool and it ultimately came to fruition. We’ve always been that force in each other’s lives that keeps the other going. It’s wild to think how far we’ve come but we put it in the atmosphere and made it appear. I’m truly elated to have my guy by my side on my wedding day.

Rachel and I met through our mutual friend Julius in 2012. We grew to know and love each other over the years. Rachel is a great person to go to for support and is very helpful. She has celebrated many special moments with me and this is why I am fortunate to have her stand beside me on my special day.

Julius Sloan

As I’ve once heard, friends are the family that you choose. Julius embodies being family, a friend, and frat. We began our friendship through pledging Kappa Alpha Psi at UNCG. During that time, he would quite often than not have to set my line brothers and I on track to achieve the objective at hand. I’ve always admired his ability to lock in and tackle whatever goal at hand while knowing his big picture and helping all those around him. Overtime, Sloan has been there for me in some of the most pivotal times of my life and continues to be. Even to this day, he’s always there for me and has even taken an active role in helping my daughter stay on the right path as well. It’s a pleasure to call this guy my brother and I’m honored to have him standing by my side on my wedding day.

Keshia and I met years ago while attending rival highschools and was my first roommate in college. She is a loyal and dedicated friend that always supports me and my wild decisions. Anytime I need a super late night talk she always answers. Keshia is a unique friend and this is why I am so elated to have her stand beside me on my special day.

Tyler and I met each other freshman year at UNCG. What began as a friendship turned family and later frat. We connected through mutual friends and realized that we have a lot in common. To name a few being from Durham and having a similar interest in career aspirations. Throughout college, you couldn’t see one of us without the other. We’ve literally seen each other grow from boy to man. Ty too is another brother that sets the bar high and pushes me to always strive for greatness. We’ve seen each other through some pivotal moments in our lives too that have bonded us for life. No matter how much time goes by, whenever we connect we pick up right from where we left off. It is with great privilege that I get to have my brother stand by my side as I embark on the next chapter of my life.
