Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, this is strictly an adults-only occasion with an exception to the children in the wedding. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time!

Am I allowed to bring a plus 1?

Answer

In order to keep our wedding as intimate as possible, only the guests formally invited on your wedding invitation will be accommodated. If you received a plus one they will appear when you RSVP.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Typically early October in Michigan is an average range of 50-60 degrees. The nights tend to drop to cooler temperatures though so come prepared! It will be peak fall time in Northern Michigan so get ready to soak in all the fun colors.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day! Dress to impress in your best formal or semi-formal attire. Please no jeans/denim and avoid shades of white. Fall colors are encouraged! The ceremony will be held outside but reception will be indoors.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having an unplugged ceremony, meaning that once the ceremony begins, we ask that all phones be put away and silenced. We want everyone to be fully present with us and for our photographer to be able to capture the best pictures which we will share with all of you. Once the ceremony is over feel free to take as many pictures as you'd like and don't forget to share them with us!

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by Friday, August 1st. If we do not hear from you by this day, we will assume that you are unable to attend.

What if I don't RSVP on time?

Answer

If we do not receive your RSVP by the date provided (August 1st), it will automatically be marked as "Not Attending". We will miss celebrating with you but it is imperative we provide our vendors with a final guest count within the time they have given us. Thank you for understanding!

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP "not attending" so we can plan accordingly. Thank you!

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time to find parking and your seat. The ceremony will being promptly at 4:00 p.m. so please aim to arrive by 3:30 p.m. Once the ceremony begins, entrance will not be granted until the ceremony is completed.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! The drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you. There will also be an assortment of non-alcoholic drinks as well.

Have you reserved hotel room blocks?

Answer

Yes, a limited number of rooms have been blocked. For more information on how to book your reservation through our hotel room block, please visit the "Stay & Travel" section of our website.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

There will be a two entree plated dinner that will consist of chicken marsala and bistro steak which each guest will receive. This will be served with a caesar salad and roll to start, and parmesan crusted potatoes with green beans. If you have any dietary restrictions please specify on your RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Is there a rehearsal/ rehearsal dinner?

Answer

Yes. If you are invited to the rehearsal dinner you will have received a small informational invite in your wedding invitation. This will be for the bridal party, parents, siblings, and grandparents. There will be no plus ones allowed so please plan accordingly. Additionally, this will be open mic so if you'd like to say a few words about the couple please plan to do so!
