Cocktail attire.
We've been asked a few times to define cocktail attire so here's some general guidance (but wear what feels appropriate to you): For the gentlemen: As a general guide, 'cocktail' means no jeans and no sneakers. You want dress chinos or suit pants, a button-up shirt or suit shirt, and probably a blazer or suit jacket. Ties are optional, but recommended, and your footwear should look sharp and polished. For the ladies: When in doubt, your best LBD (or L-colorful-D), a pair of heels or dressy flats, some nice earrings, and a classy clutch will always work for a cocktail event. In addition to a traditional cocktail dress, women can also wear dressy suits or nice jumpsuits paired with heels or formal flats.

Formal attire.
Pre-ceremony champagne hour beginning at 4pm. Ceremony at 5pm. We've gotten some questions about formal attire so here are some general ideas (but wear what feels appropriate for you): A jacket and tie or a traditional suit for the gentlemen. An elegant dress, or a fancier cocktail dress or jumpsuit for the ladies.
