How we met

August 1 2016

Well, this story is going to be either irritating or inspire hope depending on how you look at it...lol! Terry and I met through a dating app. I had never even looked at one before. A week or so into it I was pretty much finished with the whole concept and one night as I was endlessly swiping out of habit I swiped past a guy who had posted a photo of himself laying on the floor, playing with some huskies, un-shaved, and clearly not posing for the picture. I swiped back a few times until I found it again and there he was. A normal guy doing normal stuff. Plus...the dogs seemed to like him so that right there was a pretty good start. I messaged him. Crickets... I was about to shutdown my account a week or so later because the one guy I actually wanted to talk to wasn't interested. Just as I was about to, a message appeared. We talked. A few times. We decided to meet at Scuttlebutts here in Everett. By the end off coffee I knew I was finished looking. By the end of the date I knew I'd marry him if he wanted me too. I just didn't know WHY yet. So that's the story. We went online looking for each other. We each only met one person from the entire site we were interested in. We both went on exactly one date ,with one person ,and here we are. Getting married four years later. So, it's either wildly romantic or terribly boring depending on how you look at it. I do have to admit though, love can come at you from the most unlikely directions if you're paying attention.
