Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us!

Monica Hatch

Maid of Honor / Mother of the Bride

Anyone who knows me knows how indecisive I am. Well, this choice was a NO BRAINER! Your maid of honor is supposed to be the "go to gal." So it only makes sense that my maid of honor be my mom, the ultimate built in best friend. Not only does my mom know everything about me, she laughs at, and even makes, the same dumb jokes I do. She is my adventure buddy, the person I turn to for advice, and one of the kindest, most compassionate people you will ever meet. I cannot imagine a better fitting person to be my maid of honor. I have so many fond memories of my mom screaming at frogs, attending cross country meets and other school events, helping me organize my volunteer schedules, going on hikes, crazy backpacking adventures where poles bend instead of legs, moving in and out of college dorms, setting up classrooms, and more. My Mom is my best friend!

Hunter Routley

Best Man

My cousin Hunter has always been there for me. We grew up playing sports against each other. Now we enjoy disc golfing together, talking about discs, and checking out disc stores. Even though we live far apart, it is important to us to continue staying in contact and being there for each other.

Ashley Gettel

Bridesmaid

In 2023, I had the opportunity to student teach with Ashley Gettel in her classroom in Midland. Not only did I learn so much from Ashley, but I also found a lifelong friend. Ashely is one of the most thoughtful, encouraging people. She always goes the extra mile to make sure people feel welcomed and included. Ashley has been a huge influence in my life as I begin my new career in a new city. I am so grateful to have a role model, supporter, and friend like Ashley!

David Hatch

Groomsman

I met Keira’s brother, David, in high school when we were on the same swim team. We went ice fishing a few times and he got me into trout fishing. He is the best fishing encyclopedia around. More recently, he is expanding my outdoorsy experience with hunting trips. We also like to disc golf.

Brianne VanDyke

Bridesmaid

Having such a large family made growing up all the more interesting. Having no sisters of my own, I turned to my girl cousins to be my pretend sisters. Brianne and I have often heard how much we look alike, how we could be sisters, etc. I was even deemed with the infamous nickname "Little Boo" from her grandmother. As we grow, we are learning our similarities run much deeper than just our brown hair and glasses. Recently, Brianne and I took on some projects and adventures that brought us even closer despite the miles between our homes. This includes spending over a year creating a family cookbook and hiking through some of the hottest conditions possibly ever!

Owen Hatch

Groomsman

Owen is Keira’s youngest brother. He is another avid disc golfer. He is also my gaming buddy. We enjoy playing different variations of games, chatting on Xbox, and attempting to play Magic the Gathering. While Owen is clearly the expert, someday I promise I will win without his help. Owen expands my gaming horizon and is fun to hang out with.

Sylvia Neph

Bridesmaid

I met Sylvia in college through a few happy coincidences. Sylvia and I had a Michigan History class together and worked together at an After School Program during our time at Alma. From there, we learned that we were basically neighbors and lived less than an hour apart. Sylvia is always ready to recommend a book or two (or three). We instantly clicked and have made it a priority to stay in touch with one another for all of the post college adventures!

Andrew Talsma

Groomsman

Andrew and I have been friends since high school. Being neighbors, we often played basketball, football, baseball, and street hockey on the road between our houses. We played sports together at school and continued to stay in touch throughout college. We now relate to one another through sports and nursing.

Ayla Cohoon

Flower Girl

Ayla is my first little sister. She holds a special place in my heart because I have memories of all her first milestones. I can remember her first steps, first day of school, and first sports games. She will continue to be my little angel and I, her “Ashy.”

Everly Cohoon

Flower Girl

Everly is my baby sister. She has the cutest smile and contagious giggle. I'm so excited to watch her grow.

Gavin Cohoon

Junior Groomsman

My little brother Gavin and I both love baseball, basketball, football, and tennis. As boys, we used to play sports with neighbors, go fishing, and argue over who knows what.
