Hi! We are asking all of our guests to take a COVID test prior to the first event you plan to attend. We've also updated some of the FAQs and added parking info for both events. Can't wait to celebrate with you! :)

Things To Do

The local South Bay beaches are beautiful, even in February! There are lots of walking paths and a dedicated bike path right around Shade Hotel. But, if you want to explore more of LA, we recommend driving over to the west side. We used to live over there and we miss it!

Hermosa Beach Pier

39 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254

Lots of local restaurants and shops. We come here often for date night, family brunch, or just a nice walk! Check out Palmilla Cocina for margaritas and a beach view. A scenic 20 minute walk or 6 minute bike ride from Shade Hotel!

Downtown Manhattan Beach

1142 Highland Avenue, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266
, (310) 379-9901

Another beach town with a different vibe! More shopping and restaurants. A few of our favorite restaurants: Fishing with Dynamite, Nick's, Esperanza, and Sugarfish.

Riviera Village

1728 South Catalina Avenue, Redondo Beach, CA 90277
, (310) 483-3346

We're here almost every weekend for coffee and/or brunch, followed by a walk on the Esplanade. The views of Redondo and Palos Verdes never get old! A 15 minute bike ride from Shade Hotel.

The Boy & The Bear - Coffee Roastery

350 North Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach, CA 90277

Our favorite local coffee shop! A 10-minute walk from Shade Hotel. Pro tip: order ahead on their website.

Abbot Kinney Boulevard

Abbot Kinney Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA

Abbot Kinney is very special to us, as we've spent a lot of time here. Lots of fun restaurants, shops, and people watching. If you're willing to make the drive, make a day of it! Check out Venice Beach and the canals, too.

Downtown Santa Monica

1351 3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica, CA 90401
, (310) 393-8355

Lots of shopping at the Third Street Promenade, and of course, good restaurants. Stroll down to the famous Santa Monica Pier too!
