Travel Note

How to Get Around

We highly recommend downloading and using Grab or Bolt. These are the Uber and Lyft equivalents of Thailand. Grab is the best option from the airport to the hotel. We do not recommend using general Taxis as they often up-charge. Public transportation is also very convenient in Thailand. The MRT (Blue Line) takes visa credit card however the BTS (Green or Teal lines) does require cash at most locations. Both the MRT and BTS are clean, convenient and on time. There is also a red airport line if you choose to take public transport from the airport. For those looking to do some site seeing or just want to be on the water, the ferry boat is also a great way to travel around the city. The Orange ferry is 16 baht and the yellow is 21 baht. They usually run every 20 minutes. There is also a hop on hop off ferry that can be boarded from Icon Siam. For those looking for an adventure, motorbike taxis can be booked through Grab or Bolt. It is the quickest way to get around the city. Tuk Tuks are a fun way to travel however please note that they are not always the cheapest option. Buses are also available however there is not a set time schedule that they follow. Depending on the bus you may wait anywhere between 10 to 45 minutes for the next bus. You do also need small change.
