A visit to the Grand Palace is one of the must-do experiences while in Bangkok. Located in the historic heart of the city near Chinatown and the Chao Phraya River, this beautiful complex is home to the sacred Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which houses Thailand’s most revered Buddha image, the Emerald Buddha. If you are visiting in December, you’ll have the special opportunity to see the Emerald Buddha dressed in its winter cloak, part of a traditional seasonal ceremony. Dress Code: As this is a sacred temple, visitors are required to dress respectfully. Please wear long pants or long skirts, and women should cover their shoulders. Please note that you will be required to take off your shoes to enter any temple. It’s a wonderful cultural experience and a beautiful place to explore during your time in Bangkok.
The Jim Thompson House is one of Bangkok’s most charming cultural attractions. Once the home of Jim Thompson, an American businessman credited with reviving Thailand’s silk industry, the property has been preserved as a beautiful museum showcasing traditional Thai architecture and art. The house itself is made up of several traditional Thai teak homes that were carefully transported from different parts of Thailand and reassembled along a quiet canal in the heart of the city. Inside, visitors can explore an impressive collection of Southeast Asian art, antiques, and silk pieces while learning about Jim Thompson’s fascinating life and his mysterious disappearance in 1967.

Health Land is one of the best massage places to visit with the Chaeng Wattana or Ekkaimai branches being some of the best. That being said there are so many amazing spas in Thailand. Do be careful of massage shops where women are sitting outside or there are foot massages happening outside.
