Travel Note
If you want to camp while you’re here, we recommend the Helena KOA. It’s really nice and has showers/bathrooms/outdoor games/cabins. If you want to have a more outdoor true Montana experience, we recommend Hellgate Campground (our favorite sites are #19, 45, and 38), or Court Sheriff Campground (favorite sites are #12, 14, 19, 20, 24-26, and 35). These campgrounds have water available but do not have showers. There is vault toilets here. For best luck, we suggest booking camping ASAP as August is a popular time of year for visitors!
Travel Note
If a hotel is more your style, we have blocked out rooms at the Days Inn Hotel in Helena for a discounted rate. You can make your reservations here for the cheaper rate, or call 406-442-3108 with the discount code “Sims/Steg Wedding” reservations must be made by July 10! If you have other hotels you love, any hotel you choose in Helena will be within 20 minutes of the wedding.
Travel Note
The closest airport is the Helena Airport. It’s a few minutes away from everything! But it’s a smaller airport so the rates are typically higher with not as many direct flight options. Bozeman AND Great Falls Airport are both a little under 1.5 hours from us. Bozeman is typically our “go-to” airport as Great Falls is smaller so it tends to be more expensive. Missoula Airport is a little over 2 hours from us, and is a large airport so rates are better than Helena, but comparable to Bozeman.
Travel Note
Here’s the site for arranging a shuttle car if needed. You can also try Uber/Lyft/Taxi. This just arranges confirmation of pickup at a certain time from the airport.
