Keep up with the Keanes

Like many great love stories, ours began in the most romantic place imaginable: a grocery store. Jamie and Dillon met while working at Lowes Foods in Wilmington, NC in 2018. When we first met, Jamie was a Cashier and Dillon was one of the supervisors. Dillon always seemed to find a reason to stop by and help whenever she had a question, a problem or a difficult customer. What he didn’t know at the time was that she was often calling him specifically whenever she needed help. Before long, she was promoted and Dillon was the one responsible for training her. Between long shifts, helping customers, and spending hours working together, we became close friends. Around that time, Jamie caught wind of the rumors that Dillon liked her, and somehow it felt like the entire store knew before we did. From that point on, our coworkers wouldn’t let us hear the end of it. They constantly joked that we should get married in the store and acted like our futures were already decided. Looking back, they may have been onto something. After months of friendship and some very obvious hints that neither of us picked up right away, we officially started dating on October 1, 2018. The coworkers who joked about us getting married in Lowes Foods ended up being right about one thing—we were meant to get married. We just decided to pick a slightly nicer venue.
