FAQs

Please reach out to us at cjkuzarawedding11621@gmail.com if you have any questions that were not addressed on our website!
Question

Will I need to wear a mask?

Answer

To start, we STRONGLY encourage all guests to be vaccinated prior to our wedding. We do realize not everyone is willing to do that. If you are not vaccinated, our venue's (and our) current request is that you wear a mask. We will have disposable masks left out on a table at the reception if you do not have one, forget to bring one, or even if you are vaccinated and would just prefer to wear a mask. We will not judge anyone for choosing to wear a mask to our wedding if it makes you feel safer. We are spending a lot of time on seating charts as well, trying to make sure people that are sitting together are mostly from the same circle. We want everyone to feel as safe and as comfortable as possible at our wedding. If you have concerns regarding COVID-19 and our wedding, please reach out to us. If you do not feel comfortable attending because of the virus, we also will not be offended and understand. We want those we love to be safe and comfortable!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal/cocktail. This means that guests may choose to wear knee-length or floor-length dresses, a suit, jacket, etc. We are not super picky about what you choose to wear! We want you to be comfortable. Though, we do ask that you please do not wear white dresses or jeans.

Question

What is the weather expected to be like?

Answer

The average weather in Michigan during November really varies. The average temperature is 35-45 degrees Fahrenheit. However, in 2020, the temperature was in the 90s at the beginning of November. Michigan is highly unpredictable and if you are from out of town, we recommend looking at the weather forecast before you leave! Chances are, it'll probably be around 40 degrees.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Everything will be held indoors. The only time you will need to go outside is to walk from the ceremony to the reception. They are right next to each other in the same parking lot, so chances are you will not be outside very long.

Question

Does the wedding have a theme?

Answer

Not really! We have some colors picked out that we will be decorating with. You do not need to worry about your clothing matching the theme or anything like that.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30pm. The doors will open at 3pm. We recommend coming between 3 and 3:15pm so you can make sure you are all seated when it starts. The reception will begin shortly after the ceremony. You will be able to go right over to the reception space from the ceremony while the bride and groom finish up taking pictures.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

The people listed on your invitation are those that are invited to the wedding. If the invitation says "and family" or lists children's names, they are invited. Otherwise, we cannot accommodate additional guests.

Question

Will I have a plus one?

Answer

Again, this depends on what is listed on the invitation. Due to our limited ceremony space, we may not be able to accommodate additional guests for the ceremony. If your invitation states an additional name or "and guest," we would be glad to have you bring your partner or a guest with you. Otherwise, we are unable to accommodate additional guests.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Once you receive your invitation, you can RSVP. The earlier the better, if you know whether or not you will make it. Please make sure to RSVP no later than October 16, 2021. We will need final numbers as soon as possible so we are able to make our seating chart and give the final numbers to our venue.

Question

What if I cannot attend the ceremony, but would still like to see it?

Answer

We have sent those we were unable to invite to the ceremony portion of our wedding the information for zoom and Facebook live for our ceremony. If you are unable to attend for any reason, but would still like to view our ceremony, we would love to share the information with you. If you add Jacquelyn on Facebook, the plan is for a Facebook live to be posted of the ceremony. If you prefer, you may use Zoom to watch it as well. The meeting ID is 294 167 4233. The password is: wedding. Please feel to reach out to us prior to the event if you have any more questions about watching it virtually. If you have any trouble, you will be able to watch it played back afterward on Facebook.

Question

Are there any rules about taking photos?

Answer

More than anything, we want to see your pictures! However, we are hoping to keep the ceremony mostly free of cellphones. The officiant will announce a "photo minute" where we would love for you to snap as many of your own pictures as you like. After that, however, we hope for you to put your phones and cameras away and allow for our wonderful photographer to get her shots. Once the ceremony is over, please feel free to take and post as many pictures as you desire. Please make sure to tag us!

Question

What if I have diet restrictions?

Answer

We want everyone to be able to eat at our wedding. Please email us at cjkuzarawedding11621@gmail.com if you have specific diet restrictions so we can mention it to our venue. Please do not assume that we know what your specific diet restriction is, as we have many guests invited and may not remember all of them offhand. Our food will be served buffet style. We will have three different entrees, Honey Ham, Italian Sausage with Onion and Peppers, and Chicken Marsala. We will also have fettuccine with Alfredo sauce, garlic whipped potatoes, green bean casserole, macaroni salad, Italian garden salad, and cake. If there is nothing on this list you can eat, please let us know so we can speak with our venue about making sure we have something for you.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes! Our reception will have an open bar.

Question

What is your hashtag?

Answer

Our hashtag that we would love for you to use when posting photos on social media is: #KeepingUpWithTheKuzaras We hope to be able to search the hashtag on Facebook and instagram and see all your fun photos and memories from our special day! We also would love if you would download "The Guest" app and share your photos with us with the event code "KEEPINGUPWITHTHEKUZARAS." We will also have a snapchat filter for you to use. I will be setting up a snapchat story, however, have had difficulty with that working in the past. If you see our snapchat story as an option to share your photos to, please share them there! Make sure you visit the photo booth as well. We love photos so much and want to make sure we see all of yours!
